Cronenberg and Mortensen at their best. This was the last movie ever released on VHS, which is the kind of trivia that makes a collector want to own every format it ever came on. Makes a great double feature with Eastern Promises.

The director found out about the 4K release on social media and offered to record a free commentary track for it. Warner Bros. apparently didn't take him up on it. The disc has a known mastering issue where the black levels are raised, which is a serious problem for a horror film that relies on darkness.
