Privacy
What data this site collects. The short version: not much.
Accounts
ReelBars has no user accounts, no sign-up, and no login. Nothing about you is stored on this server.
Local storage
The only thing stored in your browser's localStorage is your theme preference (dark or light mode). That value never leaves your device. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Affiliate links
Some links on this site are Amazon affiliate links. When you click one, Amazon may set cookies and track that visit under their own privacy policy. ReelBars does not receive any personal data from Amazon as a result of those clicks, only aggregate commission reports.
Reddit data
Post titles, scores, and top comments are fetched from public subreddits via the Reddit API. The subreddits are listed on the About page. No private messages or profile data is accessed.
Film metadata
Film posters, titles, and metadata are fetched from The Movie Database (TMDB) during the weekly build. TMDB is not involved in serving data to your browser. The metadata is baked into the static site at build time.
Hosting
ReelBars runs on Vercel. Vercel's CDN logs standard access data (IP addresses, user agents) as part of normal operation. That's governed by Vercel's own privacy policy. ReelBars doesn't have access to individual-level logs.
