The IMAX scenes that fill the full screen are the reason to own the disc over digital, since the streaming version crops them. Nolan films consistently drive 4K sales more than anything else.

The 4K is a real upgrade over the Blu-ray, which had noticeable sharpening and DNR issues. The IMAX sequences are some of the sharpest footage you'll see on the format, and the 35mm scenes are a solid improvement too. Batman Begins is the disappointing one on 4K, but Dark Knight and Rises both look great. The trilogy steelbook set has been through multiple exclusive editions and the artwork reveals always get a lot of attention.

A-Tier Warner Bros. 4K. Nolan's dream heist from the first wave of 4K releases back in 2017. A collector's edition with new packaging was announced alongside Interstellar, which generated more excitement than the film itself at this point. The rotating hallway fight and the city-fold sequence are still strong demo material. If you own the original 4K, the disc inside the collector's edition is likely the same.

A-Tier Paramount 4K. One of the most-owned 4K discs in any collection, and the IMAX shots that fill the whole screen are the reason. The new collector's edition swapped the steelbook for a cardboard sleeve, which went over about as well as you'd expect. The original steelbook restocked at Walmart and moved fast.

Umbrella Entertainment announced a new 4K restoration from the original camera negative and collector demand was immediate. This has been the most requested Nolan 4K for years. The Kimchi steelbook of the existing Blu-ray already trades at collector prices, so expect the 4K to move fast when it drops.
