S-Tier Universal 4K. The first Monty Python film to get a 4K release, which felt backwards given Holy Grail and Life of Brian are far more popular. The old 5.1 remix from the 2002 DVD was widely disliked, so people were hoping for the original stereo or a new remix.

A-Tier Sony 4K. The Holy Grail finally on 4K in August 2025 after years of people waiting. The steelbook announcement got immediate day-one energy. It's bizarre that Meaning of Life was the only Python film on 4K for so long. The $40+ USD steelbook price caused some grumbling, but people bought it anyway.

Brian Cohen is an average young Jewish man, but through a series of ridiculous events, he gains a reputation as the Messiah. When he's not dodging his followers or being scolded by his shrill mother, the hapless Brian has to contend with the pompous Pontius Pilate and acronym-obsessed members of a separatist movement. Rife with Monty Python's signature absurdity, the tale finds Brian's life paralleling Biblical lore, albeit with many more laughs.
