The Criterion flash sale came and went in 24 hours, and on the 4K side Killers of the Flower Moon, Raging Bull, Eyes Wide Shut, Network, The Piano, and Picnic at Hanging Rock all sold out during the window. Collectors spent the rest of the week sorting through what it means, and the sold-out list got its own dedicated post. Meanwhile Amazon and Target both ran B2G1 deals on the same three days, with Amazon quietly raising prices on several titles the morning the sale went live. Che going OOP quietly this week is the other Criterion story, and people blew up once they realized they'd waited too long.
One Thing to Watch
Arrow's June lineup dropped and the boutique collector reaction was 'might genuinely be an everything month.' Mortal Kombat, MK Annihilation, Audition, Wake in Fright, and Jackie Chan's Breakout Hits all in one window.

Target and Amazon both launched B2G1 sales this week, running Wednesday through Friday. Amazon raised prices on several titles the same day the sale went live, and collectors caught it immediately. The Amazon sales are live now: US 3 for the price of 2, UK 3 for £50, and Canada 3 for $99.99 CAD. The Criterion 24-hour flash sale ran noon ET March 24 through noon ET March 25, all in-stock discs 50% off SRP, and the sold-out list afterward was long enough to get its own dedicated post. Warner Archive also launched their annual sale. Arrow Video's Easter sale is now live as well.

The blind buy discussion is one of the better recommendation lists you'll find this week. The 'best hidden gem Criterion' conversation surfaced titles like The Signifyin Works of Marlon Riggs and Querelle, and a '90s Seattle vibes' thread went deep on Singles, Sleepless in Seattle, and Twin Peaks. The boxset vs. individual films debate split cleanly between people who want complete runs and people who cherry-pick the good transfers.
