Universal's 4K has Dolby Vision and Atmos, and that matters because the 1080p disc was dim and flat. It's a 2K upscale so detail tops out there, but the HDR pass opens up Whoville's neon palette in a way the old disc never did. The dull grading in some scenes is Illumination's choice, not the transfer.
