Joe Dante's classic era is fully on 4K except Gremlins 2

Every Joe Dante solo-directed feature from 1978 to 1998 is now on 4K UHD except Gremlins 2. Seven came from boutique labels, one from Warner. Dante just surfaced a 2h 35m assembly cut of the original Gremlins and gave it to a fan archive instead of the studio.

Sony's July 2026 45th Anniversary SteelBook on the original was just announced, the Lionsgate Best Buy double-feature still surfaces at retail, StudioCanal's German Uncut Evil Dead II is import-only, Scream Factory's Army of Darkness and Evil Dead 2013 SteelBooks (the latter ships both cuts) cover the middle of the franchise, and Evil Dead Rise has steelbooks in two regions plus an Arrow Limited Edition.
