The 2018 Sony 4K is the cheaper way in but the 2023 Steelbook is the better disc, adding the Dolby Vision the original is missing and bumping bitrate onto a BD-100. Both pull from the same restoration. Reference-level video and the Atmos remix is the standout, especially what it does with Goldsmith's score. Die Hard on a plane with Harrison Ford running it. The floating-head slipcover gets ribbed in the comments but most people are buying for the line read.

Warner put Boogie Nights on 4K in December 2025. The transfer is a deliberate film-look pass mastered from a print to preserve the theatrical feel, so don't expect a razor-sharp digital scan. The real catch is that the disc only carries the 5.1 mix, while the digital copy is the only place you'll get Dolby Atmos.
