Four years after the events of Halloween in 2018, Laurie has decided to liberate herself from fear and rage and embrace life. But when a young man is accused of killing a boy he was babysitting, it ignites a cascade of violence and terror that will force Laurie to finally confront the evil she can’t control, once and for all.
Universal Pictures · Collector's Edition
dir. John Carpenter
Rob Zombie's reimagining, not the Carpenter original. Imprint limited edition steelbook announced at a price people called a great deal. A-Tier transfer from a film that's more divisive than the disc quality would suggest.
Shout! Studios · Collector's Edition
dir. Rick Rosenthal
C-Tier Shout Factory 4K. The hospital sequel. Same transfer debate as the first Halloween.
dir. Tommy Lee Wallace
S-Tier Sony Pictures 4K. John Carpenter's Plymouth Fury. The steelbook is a love-it-or-hate-it design.
dir. Dwight H. Little
C-Tier Shout Factory 4K. Michael Myers returns. The Halloween franchise on 4K from Shout Factory has been comprehensive if not always well-transferred.
dir. Dominique Othenin-Girard
C-Tier Shout Factory 4K. More Michael Myers.
dir. Rob Zombie
No 4K UHD release exists yet. Both Rob Zombie cuts ship on Blu-ray only via Via Vision's Ultimate Edition (2-film set with Halloween II, all-region). Walmart had a Blu-ray steelbook in 2024. Universal has not announced a 4K upgrade for either of Zombie's Halloween films.
