Four S-Tier 4K discs anchor the franchise. 20th Century's 1987 original, Shane Black's much-disliked 2018 entry that still got a reference disc, Disney's belated 4K of Prey from 2022, and Dan Trachtenberg's 2025 Badlands all hit S-Tier. No anthology box exists on 4K, so collectors buy each one standalone. Predator 2 and Predators never got 4K upgrades. Killer of Killers, Trachtenberg's 2025 animated entry, is still streaming-only and collectors are openly asking when it gets disc.

S-Tier 20th Century Studios 4K. McTiernan's sci-fi action classic. The 4-movie pack from Amazon came in a DVD case for some reason, which confused everyone. The Prey steelbook from Best Buy was a big deal since Disney rarely puts streaming-only films on disc. Collectors are building Predator steelbook shelves across all five films.

Dan Trachtenberg back in the Predator franchise after Prey, this time with a planet-set prequel where a young Predator pairs with a survivor. Reference-grade transfer from 20th Century Studios. Steelbook ran sold-out within hours, restocks landing at Please Rewind in waves. The base 4K + Blu-ray is the easier grab if you're not chasing the steel. Collectors are also asking when Killer of Killers, Trachtenberg's animated entry, gets its own 4K disc.

Shane Black's much-disliked 2018 entry got a reference 4K transfer that nobody can stop praising even when they're complaining about the script. 20th Century's December 2018 disc is a demo piece, especially the audio. Easy secondary-market grab right now, with people finding it as low as $2 USD at Goodwill. UK collectors get a Zavvi 4K steelbook variant. The franchise's only post-Schwarzenegger 4K until Trachtenberg's Prey landed.

S-Tier Disney 4K with a 4.5 score. The Predator prequel that was a streaming exclusive nobody expected to get a physical release. The Comanche dub is included, and collectors consider it a special extra. Dan Trachtenberg is now 3 for 3 with fans.
