4K releases on Village Roadshow.
dir. David Leitch
Universal's 2017 4K is the canonical version and reviewers don't really argue about it. Solid A-Tier transfer, with the DTS:X mix doing the most work in the stairwell oner. The neon-soaked Berlin palette plays well with Dolby Vision. David Leitch's choreography and Charlize Theron doing all of it. The Steelbook had a misprint run with the front and back cover plates installed backwards. Sequel rumored for years, nothing yet.

S-Tier Warner Bros. 4K. The IMAX aspect ratio changes throughout the film are handled cleanly on the disc, and the aerial dogfight sequences in HDR are demo material.
Warner Bros. · 4K + Blu-ray
A-Tier Paramount 4K. One of the most-owned 4K discs in any collection, and the IMAX shots that fill the whole screen are the reason. The new collector's edition swapped the steelbook for a cardboard sleeve, which went over about as well as you'd expect. The original steelbook restocked at Walmart and moved fast.

S-Tier Lionsgate 4K. The one that started it all. Every John Wick film has a strong 4K transfer, and the set is a GRUV sale regular. The Continental club shootout is still one of the best neon-lit action sequences on disc. Individual steelbook versions exist for collectors who want matching artwork across the series.

S-Tier Warner Bros. 4K. Phoenix's Joker on a well-regarded disc. Someone made custom box art that looks like Saul Bass designed it, which got more attention than the official packaging. The film's 4K got caught up in the broader conversation about steelbook scarcity and artificial demand after several releases started selling out immediately.
