Week of Mar 8 - Mar 14, 2026

Criterion delayed the June announcements to Monday and collectors spent Friday in collective suspense. The speculation is running hot with Dead Ringers, The Handmaiden, The Right Stuff, and I Am a Fugitive from a Chain Gang. The flash sale is coming before March 20th and people are already building lists. Cameron's 4Ks are still the week's punching bag, True Lies getting the worst of it. Somewhere in the middle of all this, a Spike Lee autograph turned up secondhand and people treated it like a state occasion.

One Thing to Watch

Zavvi is now taking payment at time of order instead of at dispatch. About half of collectors read it as a cash flow problem and the other half as anti-bot. Someone mentions they've spent 'literal thousands' there precisely because no upfront payment made pre-orders feel free. That's gone now. If Zavvi is in trouble, exclusive pre-orders go with it.

The rarest 4Ks discussion landed with no consensus. Columbia Classics Volume 1, The Neon Demon, eXistenZ, the Twilight Best Buy exclusive that sold out in a week and is now eBay folklore. The Criterion June announcement got delayed to Monday and people spent the day catastrophizing. The flash sale wishlist discussion has Sorcerer, Peeping Tom, Network, and Raging Bull all competing. Cameron's 4Ks are still getting roasted.
