Strong A-Tier transfer, with the new 4K master pulling detail out of the cellar darkness and out of Wendy Robie's daylight scenes without scrubbing the grain. The slipcover art repeats on both sides instead of going reversible.

Available on 4K only via Warner's 7 Film Collection boxset from September 2025. The big win is the uncut footage finally in HD, after decades where collectors only had access to it via VHS. The remastered footage is integrated cleanly with the rest of the cut, and the visual upgrade across the makeup effects is the reason to upgrade beyond the Blu-ray.
